After 40 years of renewal, Viet Nam has recorded numerous wide-ranging accomplishments in international integration, expanding and deepening relations with partners and elevating them to a new level, thereby helping to shape a favourable strategic landscape and enhance the nation’s overall strength, firmly protect nnational independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, while maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, and improving the country’s potential, position, and prestige.

The issuance of Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW is a breakthrough policy marking a historic turning point in the country’s process of international integration, identifying integration as a strategic driving force for Viet Nam to firmly enter a new era.

The consistent viewpoint of the resolution is that international integration is the cause of the entire nation, under the absolute, direct, and comprehensive leadership of the Party and the unified management of the state, with people and enterprises as the centre and as the creative subjects.

04 Intensify international integration in science, technology and innovation, contributing to enhancing national competitiveness, expanding space for sustainable development, and modernising the country.
05 Step up international integration across culture, society, tourism, the environment, education and training, health, and other fields.
06 Enhance the capacity to implement international commitments and agreements, while strengthening the inspection and supervision of their execution, and vigorously perfecting domestic institutions, policies, and laws.
07 Raise the effectiveness and efficiency of directing and coordinating international integration efforts; promote the active and proactive role of local authorities.
