Ha Long - a world natural heritage recognised by UNESCO, is a symbol of majestic natural beauty and a bright spot in Vietnam's sustainable development. In recent years, Ha Long has transformed strongly with a series of impressive infrastructure and architectural works, both modern and classy, and in harmony with heritage values.

Bai Chay Bridge

Bai Chay Bridge is the largest single-plane cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam, connecting the two banks of Cua Luc Bay, connecting Hon Gai and Bai Chay in Halong. Inaugurated in 2006 with a total investment of 142 million USD (mainly from Japanese ODA), the bridge is 903m long, has a main span of 435m and a width of 25m, serving four lanes of motor vehicles and two lanes of rudimentary vehicles. With a modern design and the ability to withstand large storms, this is a typical project of advanced construction technology.

Bai Chay Bridge is an important traffic artery symbolising modern development, helping to reduce traffic congestion, promote trade and create momentum for socio-economic development in Ha Long. The project contributes to enhancing local tourism with a night lighting system highlighting the beauty of the landscape.

Despite facing traffic pressures and high maintenance costs, the Bai Chay Bridge remains a testament to strategic vision and innovation in transport infrastructure, bringing Ha Long closer to its goal of becoming an international-class economic and tourism centre.

Quang Ninh Planning and Expo Centre

The Quang Ninh Planning and Expo Centre, known as the “Sea Bird”, is a unique and modern architectural structure along Ha Long Bay. This facility was inaugurated in 2016, with a total investment of nearly 1.151 trillion VND, covering an area of over 62,000 square meters. Its design draws inspiration from the image of a seagull flying over the sea, symbolising Quang Ninh’s aspiration to soar to greater heights.

The Planning Centre is not only a venue for hosting conferences, fairs, exhibitions and major events in the province but also a hub for displaying information about urban planning, development, and the economic and cultural achievements of Quang Ninh. The facility is installed with modern equipment and features a spacious, flexible interior catering to various uses. 

With its prime location and unique architecture, the Planning Centre has become a significant highlight, drawing the attention of tourists and investors. It is a symbol of sustainable development, reflecting Quang Ninh’s strategic vision during the period of international integration.

Quang Ninh Museum - Library

Quang Ninh Museum - Library is located on Tran Quoc Nghien Street, Ha Long City, and is an impressive cultural complex, dubbed as a "black pearl on the bay's shore". Inaugurated in 2013 with a total investment of nearly 900 billion VND, the project has a unique architecture inspired by the image of coal - the symbol of Quang Ninh Province.

This complex consists of three blocks: a museum, library and outdoor exhibition area, linked by a modern glass bridge system. The museum displays more than 14,000 artefacts about the history, culture and nature of Quang Ninh, while the library provides a comfortable reading and learning space with thousands of rich books.

Quang Ninh Museum - Library is not only a place to preserve heritage but also an attractive destination, symbolising the harmonious combination of culture and modernity to enhance local tourism.

Cai Dam Roundabout

Cai Dam Roundabout, located in the central area of Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City, is an important traffic intersection connecting many main roads leading to tourist attractions and large residential areas. This is not only an effective traffic coordination point but also a green space, creating an architectural highlight for the area.

With a modern design, the surrounding area of the roundabout is decorated with a system of trees, flowers and artistic lighting, bringing a harmonious beauty to nature. This area is regularly maintained and decorated during major festivals, contributing to increasing the attraction for tourists.

Cai Dam Roundabout not only serves as an important piece of transportation infrastructure but also symbolises the modern and synchronised development of Ha Long City, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.

Quang Ninh Youth and Children’s Cultural Centre

Quang Ninh Youth and Children’s Cultural Centre is located in Bach Dang Ward, Ha Long City. It is a project designed for the younger generation, reflecting modernity and creativity. Opened in 2016, the centre spans over 25,000 square metres and features a unique architectural design that integrates spaces for learning, entertainment, and sports.

The centre includes various functional areas, such as a learning area with rooms for arts, music, and languages, a sports area with football fields, swimming pools, a gymnasium, and an outdoor playground, creating a comprehensive environment for youth development. The spacious green areas of the centre also provide opportunities for extracurricular activities and large-scale events.

The Quang Ninh Youth and Children’s Cultural Centre is not only a place to nurture young talents but also contributes to building the modern and dynamic image of Ha Long City.

Nu Hoang (Queen) Cable Car and Sun World Ha Long Complex

The Queen Cable Car and the Sun World Ha Long Complex stand out as major tourism highlights in Ha Long City. The Queen Cable Car, inaugurated in 2016, is dubbed the "wonder from above", holding two Guinness World Records: the world’s largest cable car cabins and the tallest cable car pillars. This remarkable feat adds to the region’s appeal, further enhancing its tourism offerings.

The cable car line, spanning over 2 km and connecting Bai Chay to the peak of Ba Deo, offers breathtaking panoramic views of Ha Long Bay.

At the summit of Ba Deo, the Sun World Ha Long entertainment complex unfolds with numerous attractions, including the Sun Wheel, a Japanese Garden, and unique architectural structures. Sun World Ha Long also features Dragon Park and Typhoon Water Park, catering to entertainment needs for all ages.

The Nu Hoang (Queen) Cable Car and Sun World Ha Long provide a unique tourism experience, affirming Ha Long’s position as one of Vietnam’s premier entertainment destinations.

Ha Long Flower Park

Located along Tran Quoc Nghien Street by the shores of Ha Long Bay, Ha Long Flower Park is a visually stunning green space that breathes new life into the coastal city. The park is thoughtfully designed to blend nature and architecture, featuring wide walking paths, artificial lakes, vibrant flower gardens, and lush greenery. 

The park’s highlight is its dedicated area for signature flower species, meticulously maintained to create a radiant landscape that attracts locals and tourists for sightseeing and photography. The park is equipped with seating areas, a children’s playground, and artistic lighting systems, making it an ideal destination both during the day and at night.

Ha Long Flower Park is a place for relaxation and entertainment and a cultural landmark that enhances the beauty of Ha Long City, making it a truly attractive destination.

Ha Long International Cruise Port

Ha Long International Cruise Port is located in the Bai Chay area, the first cruise port in Vietnam designed to meet international standards, officially put into operation in 2018. The port was built with a total investment of more than 1,100 billion VND, including two main areas: a domestic cruise port and an international cruise port, capable of receiving the largest cruise ships in the world. 

The project stands out with a modern passenger terminal, covering an area of more than 13,500 square metres, designed luxuriously, inspired by the characteristics of Vietnamese culture. The port is more than 500 metres long, allowing ships with a tonnage of up to 225,000 tonnes. 

Ha Long International Passenger Port enhances the tourism experience, affirming Ha Long’s position on the international tourism map and attracting more and more tourists to explore the beauty of Ha Long Bay’s heritage.

Tran Quoc Nghien Road

Tran Quoc Nghien Road runs along the coast in Ha Long City, known as "the most beautiful coastal road in Quang Ninh". With a length of more than 7 kilometres, the road connects many important points, from the Quang Ninh Museum - Library to the area of Column 3 and Column 8, while opening up a beautiful view of Ha Long Bay - a world natural heritage. 

Upgraded and completed in 2020, Tran Quoc Nghien Road has a wide, modern roadway with airy sidewalks decorated with trees, stone benches and an artistic lighting system. In particular, the road also integrates a kilometre-long breakwater, protecting the coast and creating an ideal walking and exercising space. 

Tran Quoc Nghien Road is a cultural and tourism highlight, highlighting Ha Long's beauty and modern development.
